About the Dark Comedy Festival
The Dark Comedy Festival was started in 2011 by Comedian Rob Mailloux. It ran for 10 days and had 18 shows and over 50 performers including Jim Jefferies, Big Jay Oakerson, Glenn Wool and Jamie Kilstein. Tyler Morrison was the winner of the 1st(and only) Dark Comedy Contest.
Mailloux created the festival to showcase Dark Comedy within Canada. It began touring the following month in Vancouver, Canada with Jim Jefferies. This year the festival is looking to sell over 3000 tickets, as well as 100 all access passes. As well as expanding to a 4 day festival in Vancouver.
